Bounteous lavender-blue flowers, curved like a scorpion’s tail.

Phacelia self-sows liberally and wherever it flowers, you can guarantee there will be a cloud of bees enjoying it. It is the most popular flower in the field in early summer. (Grow echinops to take over when the phacelia is setting seed.)

Hardy annual. Also works brilliantly as a green manure.
