ABOUT GRACE
Welcome to my world. You can find me in two places, Malus Farm, which is a physical thatched cottage and flower field in Somerset, England, and in Gather with Grace Alexander, my online home.
I know a bit about the need for escapism. By day I’m an expert witness psychologist in the UK family courts. Which means my evenings and weekend are filled with dogs, tea, flowers and the wondrous experience of life in a Somerset thatched cottage.
Whether you have a ½ acre plot or just a couple of window boxes, I want to help you pause and notice the shifts in the seasons as they come, the poetry in every stage of green growing things.
If you want to create a flower-filled sanctuary, one of the best places to start is by saving seeds from your own garden or the area around you.

I believe in social justice and inclusivity. I believe contact with flowers benefits individuals and communities. Gather is priced to be the same as a two bags of compost from my local nursery a month because a bit of escapism in our everyday busy lives is even more nourishing.

It’s for you if:
It doesn’t matter if you have a few acres or a few pots, what matters is that flowers make your heart rise and your fingertips tingle. It matters that you feel compelled to be amongst flowers and plants. It matters that you are willing to let go of the mundane and just wander around in my world. There’s no falling behind or keeping up, just pick it up and put it down as you wish.
You can become a member of Gather wherever you are in the world and you can buy things other than seeds (e.g. the book or tools) from the shop internationally, but I can only ship seeds to addresses in the UK and the USA.
It is absolutely not for you if:
You would like me to teach you to be a flower farmer, and you are expecting modules, webinars and printed handouts.
You think that it should all be about pretty pictures and generally keeping quiet about big issues so as not to upset anyone. I am all about the beauty yes, but I also have a deep commitment to social justice (my policy here), I donate 10% of the income of both Grace Alexander Flowers sales and Gather memberships to Tuppenny Barn.
