A journal of growing happiness

This is the week of blissful indulgence and so there is no journal this week; I couldn't even if I wanted to, the days have slid into each other in the most glorious sort of way. There is simply a series of pictures celebrating a glorious time of long walks with tea and truffles, late nights and lie ins, and devouring actual real books by the stack.

Other highlights of this week were an owl that swooped quieter than silence at dusk, fennel in the kitchen garden that was ready for harvest at exactly the right moment for roasting with garlic and artichoke hearts to top New Year's sourdough pizza, digging up the kitchen floor to find that the original red bricks go all the way across, and an unfeasible amount of gin and cheese.
